On August 29th, the US Government introduced a new 10% import tariff on a wide range of goods coming from the UK including items that you may order from us. This means when your parcel arrives in the US, customs may ask you to pay an extra 10% on the value of your order before they hand it over. Or we may have to charge this at point of sale and hand it over to US customs on your behalf.
Therefore, we have paused sales to the US for a short time until we can make sure we’re selling and shipping in the best way possible for our US customers.
Thanks for your patience, understanding, and continued support.
Please note that if you ask us to cancel an order, when we issue a refund, our PayPal / WorldPay fees are not reimbursed which means we lose money on all cancelled orders. With larger orders, this can be a substantial amount so please bear this in mind when making a purchase.
We are fully IOSS compliant and fulfil all our EU tax obligations via the Belastingdienst in The Netherlands. This means that any orders placed from customers within the EU that are under the current €150 threshold will be charged VAT at the rate of the country of delivery and should not be subject to additional charges. Any orders over €150 will not be subject to IOSS / VAT charges but may incur import tax in the country of delivery.
Unfortunately we are not responsible for any countries that may not apply the rules in a consistent manner, if you have a problem with your order then we are always happy to advise you on the best course of action.
We are sorry to announce that Racket Credits / Gift Vouchers are no longer available for purchase, however we will continue to honour any existing credits.
Racket Records is not a physical shop, and we do not allow visitors to the offices or studio. Purchases must be made via our website. Our office hours are 09.00am to 5.00pm (UK time) from Monday to Friday. We observe all UK bank and public holidays, and our offices are closed on these days. Racket Records also closes annually for an extended Christmas break. We generally only respond to emails and process orders during office hours.
There are times (such as shortly before, during or immediately after a tour) when we may not be able to observe daily office hours as listed above, and we apologise for any delays in replying to queries or order processing which may extend beyond 3 or 4 working days.
Please remember that Racket Records is only a small team of five people. We will always do our best to help, but we are not Amazon, and we don't always have the resources to respond to emails or questions within minutes. Please note that we do not generally respond to order queries sent via Social Media (for example, Facebook Messenger etc).

On some of the items in our store, you may see a note stating it is Out Of Stock or Out Of Print. This means that the item is no longer for sale as a physical product and these items are no longer currently being manufactured.
With specific regards to Racket Records stock, the main reason for taking something out of print is two-fold. Sales will have significantly slowed, and as such the demand for the title has become minimal. Second, due to minimum manufacturing quantities, it is not financially viable to manufacture more.
Where possible we will continue to make out of print music titles available as downloads when physical stock is exhausted.

Payment will be taken immediately when you place your order. Our online payment options do not offer an option for delayed payment if an order is subject to shipping delays. Immediate order payment also applies to pre-orders of upcoming new releases. Unlike other / major online retailers who offer pre-orders to try and take advantage of early sales before high-street shops can sell an item, the money from pre-orders sold through Racket Records often goes directly towards the manufacturing costs of the item itself.
All prices are listed are in British Pounds Sterling (£). Due to fluctuating exchange rates, we do not list other currencies within our website. Payments in British Pounds Sterling, US Dollars, and Euros are available upon CHECK OUT if paying via WorldPay. All PayPal payments will be taken in British Pounds Sterling (£). We understand that currency conversion and fluctuating exchange rates may mean prices of our merchandise are higher than normal prices within your own country. We hope you will understand that these are forces beyond our control and we price items according to our own costs for producing them.

Post Brexit, Racket Records is fully IOSS compliant and we remit VAT to all EU countries via the Dutch Belastingdienst. Any orders below 150 euros should not incur customs and handling charges from local delivery services.
Racket Records is required to add the relevant VAT charges to all orders shipped to the UK and EU member countries. Item prices both inclusive and exclusive of VAT are listed next to every item.
Although duplicate orders / charges are rare, if the situation arises please contact us immediately with a complete copy of ANY email confirmations you have received, either from Racket Records, WorldPay, or PayPal. We can arrange an immediate refund and cancel any additional unwanted orders if necessary.
We ship to most countries, and it is unlikely that yours isn't included in our list!
However, if your country is not listed, please contact us before placing your order with your FULL name and postal address and we will be able to make any necessary arrangements.
Postage is generally charged automatically for online orders by ranges of weight (under 1kg, between 1kg & 2kg, and over 2kg) - this may vary slightly with smaller items. Charges will appear when you proceed to the CHECKOUT.
You will have the opportunity to review shipping prices before providing your credit card details.
Currently, Racket Records offers only standard Royal Mail postage within the UK and Royal Mail Airmail shipping world-wide. If you have special delivery requirements, please contact us before placing your order - however, we do not typically make special exceptions. Due to frequent problems shipping to Mexico and Central & South America, we send all packages by Royal Mail International Signed For (Tracked) service. This increases postal charges on these orders but guarantees a more reliable delivery.
If you are resident in Mexico or Central & South America your track and trace number will be available in your Marillion Online Account shortly after you receive your shipping notification. If the track and trace is not available within 72 hours of your order shipping then please contact us.
Orders are typically shipped within 3-4 working days of receipt, but we ask that UK customers allow 14 working days for delivery and all other customers allow 28 working days in case of busy sales periods or other unforeseen delays. You will receive an email confirmation when your order ships, and can track your order status through your Marillion Online Account. However, if you do not receive your order within the specified timeframe then please contact us with your FULL name and postal address, any email confirmation received, and your order number if available. Should an item be temporarily out of stock, we may hold your order until a re-stock arrives. For any pre-ordered items, please check the specific product page for full pre-ordering details.
Please check your email shipping confirmation. A full list of items sent will be included with your shipping confirmation - in some cases, we do not ship your entire order at once. The shipping email will provide an accurate list of what items are included in a particular shipment. If you have only received some of the items listed in your email confirmation in your package, it is most likely because one of the items is either very large or bulky. Items such as vinyl and artwork prints are usually shipped in a separate package from any other items in the order. We try to ship all parts of an order on the same day, but there can be situations where they ship a day apart. Larger items can also get delayed in the post.
In addition to postal delays, because these large items will usually not fit through a letterbox, they may be held at your local post / sorting office for collection rather than being delivered directly. Our recommendation is to wait 2 or 3 days after the first part of your shipment arrives for the remainder. If it is not there within 5 days, contact your local post / sorting office in case they are holding it for collection. If they are not, please contact us with your FULL name and postal address, any email confirmation received, and your order number if applicable (this is always printed on your delivery label as well as appearing in your Order History in your Marillion Online Account.
Unfortunately, we cannot alter item values on customs declarations. All items are correctly marked and value is declared at the full purchase price. Declared customs values do not include shipping costs. For countries with strict import laws, we recommend placing smaller orders containing no more than 1 or 2 CDs or T-Shirts, rather than one large order, to keep the overall value of the parcel low - please consult your country's import regulations for import value guidelines.
When an order is created on our system, the default status is Processing Order. This means that your payment has been received and taken, and we will package up the items in your order and ship them out to you. The order status will stay at Processing Order during this stage, whether the order has just been placed, or it is sitting in a postbag ready for collection. There are times when we get busy at Racket Records and can't immediately pack an order - this usually happens before, during, and after a tour, or around the time of a new release. If your order is listed as processing for several days, rest assured we will get to it as soon as possible. For membership and / or downloads, your order status may show Processing Order for a short time before your final order confirmation email is sent. However, memberships and downloads are available immediately after purchase.
When we have printed the address label for your order, the status in our system is changed to Preparing For Shipping. Normally this status will only be seen for a few hours. However, with certain high demand items or pre-orders we may print the labels in advance so that they are ready for despatch when we receive stock.
If you have placed an order and a particular item is temporarily out of stock, your order status will be set to Awaiting Stock. If an item is completely sold out or there is a delay in getting the product, it will be taken off sale and you will not be able to order it - this status is only used if there is a delay from our suppliers. Awaiting Stock will also be used if a product has been put on sale as a pre-order or before the final delivery of stock has arrived.
If there are delays with an out-of-stock item, we will ship the other parts of your order separately. When part of your order does ship, your order status will change to Part Shipped and you will receive an email shipping confirmation listing the individual products which were included in your initial shipment.
Unfortunately our online system does not allow us to specify in your order history exactly which items are outstanding, so we advise you to keep all emails you receive until your complete order has been received. If the unshipped item is a Pre-Order, your order status will state Part Shipped (Pre-Order Pending).
When a product at Racket Records is listed as a Pre-Order, the item obviously will not ship until it is manufactured - so your order status will be set to Pre-Order Pending. As soon as the stock is received, the order status will be set to Processing Order and then Order Complete once the shipment takes place. We would ask that you please do not contact us about the whereabouts of any Pre-Order until your order status is set to Order Complete and sufficient time for shipment has elapsed.

Your order status will show Order Complete when order has left our premises, has been collected by Royal Mail and is on it's way to you! If you have ordered a membership or download, the order status will change to Order Complete once the final email confirmation is sent. As soon as your order status is set to Order Complete you will receive a final email confirmation, detailing the items in your shipment. This will be the final email you will receive from us regarding your order - if there are any problems from this point forward, please refer to the section below.
