This release is not of the same quality level as the other DFRC shows, so please bear that in mind when listening.
For this DFRC release we go back over 36 years to the first tour with Steve Hogarth. The Seasons End tour was extensive, covering 118 shows. This show is from the second European leg of the tour and was part of a 8 show stretch in Germany. It was the only time the band visited this venue. This recording is from a stereo desk tape, but during the mid-90s onwards to save money, the DAT tapes were re-used and recorded over. Prior to this the Seasons End desk tapes were copied over to cassette tape (unfortunately to a format that degrades quicker). This is why only the main set is available and the encores were missing for nearly all the Seasons End show recordings as the cassette tapes were 90 mins.
For this show, the first half is from a cassette tape and the second half from a DAT tape which had part of the AoS demos recorded on it and so only part of the main set was left. To present the show in the most complete form possible, we edited the 2 parts together and Michael Hunter weaved his magic.
Bass Museum, Burton On Trent, England - 16th November 2000

In 2000 while the band was writing and recording Anoraknophobia, an offer was made to play two nights at the Bass Museum. After the success of the acoustic shows at the Walls restaurant in 1998, it was a good opportunity, and there was space in the schedule before the 2000 Christmas tour. To celebrate the shows, the Bass Brewery brewed a unique beer called Racket Fuel. As part of the gigs the band were given free beer for a year, but after this show this was rescinded after they drank the bar dry! Like the Walls shows, the stage was relatively small so the band went for a similar acoustic approach.
The second night was also filmed / streamed as a live Web stream and became the Piss Up In A Brewery DVD (available on The Space).
As part of the DFRC we are pleased to present the complete first night.
