An Update From Steve Rothery & Mark Kelly

Hi Everyone,

The first three Marillion weekends have been a tremendous success. Each one very special in its own way. I’m really looking forward to the Girona and Padua weekends (plus the other three of course). We are so lucky to have such a special audience everywhere we play.

I’ve just returned from Abbey Road where the half speed vinyl was being cut for my Bioscope project with Thorsten Quaeschning from Tangerine Dream. The project started life in early 2020 and after several five day trips to Berlin over the years, and a few days in my home studio, it was finally ready to be mixed and mastered!

It has taken a little longer than anticipated but it’s really sounding fantastic!

The album is called GentŨ’ and features an amazing performance on all the tracks by Elbow’s drummer Alex Reeves.

The five tracks are

Vanishing Point
GentŨ
Kinetoscope
Bioscope
Kaleidoscope

Each of the five instrumental tracks takes their inspiration from man's endearing fascination with the moving image.

The album will be available via retail globally in late July/August on Ear Music/Edel but the CD version is now available to pre-order from Racket for shipping in early May.

See here for details - www.marillion.com/shop/albums/srb009.htm

I’ll sign the first 500 copies. Also we should have copies for sale at the Padua and all subsequent weekends.

Take care and see you soon

Steve
