Hello Weekenders!
I'm writing this the evening after our last day of rehearsals before the gear is packed up and shipped out to the Netherlands for the first Marillion Weekend of 2025. We've had plenty of time to rehearse but as is always the case the last few days have been a little bit stressful as it dawns on us that time has almost run out and whatever isn't quite right, will have to stay like that. Not that you'll mind because you'll be with us through every note played and sung. To say we are excited would be an understatement. Knowing that this is the final ever Port Zelande makes it even more special if tinged with sadness.
For everybody who's coming we can't wait to see you there, shake your hand and share some music together.
For everybody else we will miss you and hopefully see you at one of the other weekends in 2025.
While we've been rehearsing I've found the time to record the first episode of my new podcast, co-presented with my daughter Tallulah. It's called Prog & Progeny. Have a listen and let me know what you think. Any suggestions, questions or constructive feedback is welcome. You can listen to it on your favourite podcast provider.
See you on the road
Mark
